Sickness

10 Mar

This is Jason posting.

The wifey has been sick lately.  It was probably due to the fact that we went to disneyland on friday night.  It was pretty cold out.  Jessica also got sick during the weekend.  The wifey got hit on monday.  It is definitely nice that I don’t have to work so I can stay at home to take care of her.  She needs lots of care when she is sick.  The wifey also develops cravings whenever she is sick.  She has had cravings for chocolate flavored ice cream and chicken nuggets this time around.  Thank goodness for cvs dreyer’s drumstick flavored ice cream and tyson chicken nuggets from costco!  She is on the road to recovery though.  She has a tough immune system and her sicknesses progress quickly.

Oh!  A favorite food for sick people in our house is egg drop corn soup with rice!  The egg drop corn soup is rather easy to make.  You will need:

1 can creamy style corn

1 can chicken broth

2 eggs beaten

1 green onion chopped up

small amount of ground pork for flavor.  Add more if you want more meat.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Brown the ground pork and break it up.  Add creamy corn and chicken broth.  Bring to a boil then turn to low.  Add green onions.  Slowly drip the beaten egg into the soup while stirring the soup.  This will give that beautiful egg drop look to the soup.  Let it mix for about 5-10 minutes.  Add soup to a bowl of rice and there you go!  Instant healing soup.

Keep healthy everyone!  Remember to wash those hands and no kissing the sick person!
