san marzano tomatoes.

i picked up a can of san marzano tomatoes a few weeks ago when i was at whole foods.  it’s the most raved about tomato (for making sauce) in the culinary world.  i figured i would try it and render my own verdict.

now i see what all the fuss is about.

much more tomato-y.  and it smelled SOOOOOO good cooking.  like soooooooo good.  and it is sooooo smooth and delicious.  i was positively GIDDY while cooking pasta sauce tonight.  GIDDY WITH EXCITEMENT.

jason and i agree, the sauce that i made from the san marzano tomatoes was really really ridiculously good.

now the question is whether or not it’s worth $4 a can….

is it???
