Costco Paella

26 Sep

This is Jason posting.

We couldn’t decide on what to have for dinner last night so we went to wander around Costco.  If all else fails, we could always grab a Costco hot dog. =D It’s cheap!  We looked at everything and got some yummy samples of sausages, brisket and vegetable chips.  We noticed that Costco started selling seafood paella awhile back but we never tried it.  We didn’t know if it was good or not.  It has scallops, shrimp, chorizo sausage and rotisserie chicken meat.  It looked yummy.  Well, at least to me.  I convinced the wifey to try it out for a night.  How bad could it be?  It’s from Costco!  Generally the food from costco isn’t bad… it just isn’t good sometimes.  We went home and I popped it into the oven to reheat.  We served it with some green beans and artichoke spinach dip with chips.  It was… lacking in flavor.  The seafood is definitely there.  There are lots of shrimp and scallop.  It just… didn’t taste great.  Not memorable at all.  I couldn’t even remember what we had for dinner when I thought about it.  Ugh, we were disappointed.  Oh well, lunch for me when the wifey is out for business trip.  We have been keeping our eyes out for good paella for awhile now.  It seems the search continues…
